I don’t like coffee. I thought that coffee smells good but not taste good. It’s changed now, a bit. Coffee is also good to watch. Thanks to the drama Coffee Prince, this just finished airing last Monday on MBC.
A bit preview about the Coffee Prince No.1 Shop
Cast Yoon Eun Hye as Go Eun Chan Gong Yoo as Choi Han Kyul Lee Seon Gyeon as Choi Han Sung Chae Jung Ahn as Han Yoo Jo
Episodes: 17
Brief Story Go Eun Chan is a bright young woman who became the parent of her family since her father passed away years ago. She tried to earn every cent by taking job here and there regardless the gender nature of the jobs. Her boyish appearance also made most people at a glance will think she’s a man. One day, when she caught a bag snatcher, she bumped to Han Kyul. The latter who tried to get rid of arranged marriage, used Go Eun Chan as his gay lover, thinking she’s a pretty boy. Liking the ‘boy’ cheerful spirit, Han Kyul offered Eun Chan a job at Coffee Prince, the coffee shop who employed only good looking boys (prince alike). Gradually he fell in love with her, feeling miserable by himself thinking he must be a gay. While Eun Chan at first liked the nice ajusshi, Han Kyul’s only cousin named Choi Han Seong. She couldn’t advance their relationship beyond friends since he has a girlfriend, the pretty and feminine Han Yoo Joo. Later, Han Seong wavered and responded to her feeling. It’s too late as Eun Chan already found herself liking Han Kyul instead. She’s also in pain since she couldn’t tell him she’s a girl after all. Comments Although it’s based on the novel of Lee Sun Mi, I found the drama moving to the different direction from the novel. I already read the English translated version of the novel. I get the feeling of romance in the air, flipping through 20 chapters. While watching the drama, I feel a mixture of everything: friendship between Princes at the coffee, romance between our cute couple, the comedy of Han Kyul’s struggle to overcome his ‘gay’ feeling, the misery of Eun Chan missing gender identity in front of Han Kyul, the on-off relationship between a nine years old bf-gf relationship, etc. Three things that made me enjoy this drama the most are
1. It differs from other dramas. While others mostly focus on the family who against the couple relationship, this drama shoot the obstacles of aligning different visions between couples. As the example, our cute couple quarrels when Han Kyul wanted to get married quickly and Eun Chan was surprised thinking they would marry five years later.
2. I fall in love with the background music! I don’t know how they choose the songs that they always fit to the atmosphere and the mood of each scene. My favorite one would be the song of Azure Ray – Across the Ocean. It was played during the beach scene, when Eun Chan was sleeping and Han Kyul couldn’t resist hugging her. You can find the OST download in my playlist section.
3. Really love the ending. You won’t see any Koreanovela ending where the main couple ended in wedding and labored some kids. It’s sweet and natural. Eun Chan becomes a barista and is still in love with Han Kyul.
It's my favorite drama in 2007 so far | Category: | Music | | Genre: | Pop | | Artist: | Dong Bang Shin Ki |
You might be wondering why I never post any download links for TVXQ songs while you already notice I'm a cassiopeia. Well, it's because I love those guys and I want you all to support them by buying their original releases.
Anyway, they just release the live concert album and it's awesome. Listening to it makes me want to be there 'cause I can imagine their good performance. Most of the songs are from their album especially the third, a few are remakes and not included in any their releases. Track list

This is a must-buy album. | Category: | Music | | Genre: | Pop | | Artist: | d'cinnamons |
When I heard this band for the first time, I thought it's not an Indo band. To know they actually come from Bandung, I was very surprised. Maybe because their first song I heard was in English, titled Loving you.
d'cinnamons consists of three members: Dodo (lead vocal, guitar), Laut (vocal, bass), and Bona (vocal, guitar). From the names, you may think they're males. Nope, the first two is female. And from the member's role, we can conclude their main instrument is guitar. Yes their music is very acoustic I may say and that's the main reason I like their songs.
The ten songs in this debut album: 1. Ku yakin cinta 2. Mayday, I'm in love! 3. Loving you 4. Super girl 5. Tak takut! 6. I.M.U.L. 7. Good morning 8. Semua yang ada 9. I love you 10. So would you let me be...
My fav tracks are number 2,3,4 and 10. I won't share their songs here since I promise myself never distribute Indo songs. You can buy their cds or cassettes in the nearest stores and you're gonna love it. | Category: | Movies | | Genre: | Romantic Comedy |
Brief Synopsis It's the story of opposites attract: Kang Jaehyuk (Lee Dong Wook), a detective, and Choi Soojin (Hyun Young), a journalist. Jaehyuk dreamed to be policeman since child but his fear towards sharp objects almost failed him to be one. However, his first encounter with Soojin involved a sharp object: he was accidentally stabbed by skewer held by Soojin. They didn't like each other for that. Unfortunately, the head policemen decided to put Jaehyuk into new tv show, with Soojin as the reporter. Ever since, their feelings develop to new level, eventough Soojin was the one who advanced very much.
Comments The first question popped up in my head while watching it: Where is the strongest romance? I've seen none, at least from Jaehyuk side. I think they should stick to the original title: Choi Kang Report (the name of the tv show). Beside as the first name of the two characters, I think Choi Kang also means super in English. Choi is the one who's very obvious showing her love. Well we can say Kang also cares for her eventough he acts cool about it. Yeah, I only give 3 stars for this movie no matter how much I like Wookie. The only two things that make me finished watching it (a week after the first trial) are: 1. LDW, of course, for being the center of hotness. 2. Soojin's senior (I forgot her name). She's very funny. I like the part where she mourned over her dead snake and cried: stephanie.. And the last part where she chased around the poor villains with fire bomb.
If you like light movie where you can sit and relax enjoying snacks, you may try this one.. | Category: | Movies | | Genre: | Mystery & Suspense |
TV Station: KBS World (Channel 68 of Indovision) Schedule : Wednesday & Thursday Number of episodes: 20 Cast: Uhm Tae Wong as Kang Osu Joo Ji Hoon as Oh Seungha Shin Mina as Seo Haein
I'm currently watching episode 8. It's confusing but very interesting. The story is about a revenge of what happened in the past. During high school, young Osu killed his school mate, Taehun. He was never prisoned for his crime on excuse of self defense according to the three witnesses (Taeshik, Sungi & Seokjin) who are also his friends. This witness statement was objected by another 'witness', Haein. The problem is Haein wasn't at the scene when murder took place. She saw mental pictures of what happened previously by touching the basketball left by Osu gang.
12 years later, revenge begun. Everyone who was involved in the case reunited in a scenario carefully planned by the Lucifer. The first one killed was the advocate who represented Osu in his murder case. The second one is his closest friend: Taeshik. Who will be the next victim? And the most important question is who is Lucifer? Is he Oh Seung Ha, the young brother of Taehun? Or is he Kim Yeongcheol, a friend of Taehun? Or perhaps there's someone who got stronger motive?
I don't have those answers right now so I'll continue watching this series. Fighting!
